When I first heard this song as sung by Chris Tomlin I got goose bumps thinking what an awesome God we have in times of peril and turmoil and how he rescues us by protecting us from the pain until we are able to handle it. This is what he does to kids in their grief. While God helps the parents to work through their pain He also surrounds the kids with a protective sheathing until such a time when the parents are further enough in their grief to be able to help them. I dedicate this song to my son, James as a reminder that God is there for him all the days of his life no matter what happens to him. I know God has awesome plans for his life because the experiences he went through in his teenage years will be use to God's glory.
