During my grief journey I often would listen to worship songs that spoke to what I was feeling at the time. I wanted to draw nearer to God in times of grief. I wanted to listen to the voice of the Lord so I may get a glimpse of what heaven would be like. When a family loses a loved one it is a time when spiritual things matter. Spiritual things do not matter as much when everyone is healthy, wealthy and wise, but it is in the storms of life that we need the good shepherd to guide us. A factory made GPS will not do. Nor would a ordinary compass.
But what we really need is the guidance of a loving God who sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for all of us and through the resurrection of his son he allowed Christ to walk with us all the days of our lives. These worship songs spoke to my heart during my time of grief. I hope they minister to you in whatever journey you may be on.
